Today I helped Sharon setup her new Chromebook. I introduced virtual desktops and we set them up on our Chromebooks.

Another good meeting with lots of questions answered. Beverley and Howard found a less expensive source for Sprint Hotspots.

Very few attended today but we had good conversation. I showed the new UnlockMy PC utility to take the place of Cinema without ads.

I presented the latest Chrome news, we discussed ten of my Chrome extensions and answered some questions. We had a good group of Chromebook users present.

I always say “Bring in your Chromebook if you need help.” We worked with Kent trying to get his new Brother printer to be recognized as a cloud printer without success but were able to solve Evelyn’s profile problem. A good day, we all learned something.

I tried to help Lori and she will return w/ Amazon login. We looked at the new proposal to treat streaming as a felony crime. Howard had good news about WOW Internet only price.

We cut high cost Cable TV bills using antennas, hotspots  and streaming technologies. I showed my Basic Firestick Install but we did not get to test it. I answered a ton of questions on my home conversion and Firesticks in general. We had an excellent group of highly motivated members.

We had Virginia and her son CJ visit with a new Chromebook and looking for games and entertainment. Hopefully we helped. We also had a fairly deep  networking discussion concerning Google Cloud Printers and further discussion of the battery issue on Hank’s Chromebook. This was a very good meeting.

I went through my procedure for cutting high cost cable bills using the Amazon Firestick. We spent 2 hours side loading apps with some new folks who attended. A great meeting!

At this fifth-Thursday bonus session I helped a member get Mobdro, Cinema and a few other utilities installed on her stick. We also talked about how my hot spot was working in my home.

I presented the latest Google news and spend time showing how to use Google Sheets. Paul installed Hank’s replacement battery which still does not show on the taskbar. We discussed my Chromebook replacement power supply and learned something about how power is delivered via USB-C.

We cut high cost Cable TV bills using antennas and streaming technologies. I’m now concentrating on reducing the cost of our Internet. I updated my  Sprint hot spot Internet connection, did a few things on Beverley’s firestick and answered questions.

A good day: we found Hank’s Chromebook has a bad battery. Phil helped him order a new one. We also helped him mirror his screen for teaching. Debbie wants a new Chromebook just like Paul’s.

We cut high cost Cable TV bills using antennas and streaming technologies. Today I gave away of an ASUS 3-in-1 TV Card and have a new interesting presentation on cutting all cable services including the Internet. I presented my Hot Spot research and showed a plan that further reduces cable costs. I also demoed the inexpensive $5/month Player’s Klub service, and answered questions.

Cut the high cost cable bills using antennas and Amazon Firesticks. Today I installed some items on Cal’s Firestick explaining the process. Pat had problems home but her stick worked fine at the club. We had one guest and a good day overall.

As usual  we discussed advantages of Chromebooks vs. standard Windows laptops. We also looked at Bluetooth mice, keyboards and pairing. I gave away two inexpensive Bluetooth mice plus looking at new Chromebook news.

A good meeting today. We explored streaming alternatives to high cost cable bills. Today I did a short cord cutting overview of my personal cutting journey including my research on the Calyx Institute package. I also showed off the nice new Gears Reloaded service and tried to answer questions.
