In May we have our usual Chrome support time and the regular Linux, Chrome and FOSS SIGs. Next month I’ll try resurrecting the Tinkerer SIG to touch on popular operating systems not normally covered in the TBTC calendar.
1 on 1 Chrome Support meets Thursday May 11 from 10 am to Noon. I’m expecting Estelle, a member who wants to transfer content from Windows Vista into a Chromebook and I’ll attempt to answer your Chrome questions.
The Linux SIG meets Monday May 15 at 7 pm. Answering questions from our last meeting I’ll show how I use the backup software included with Linux Mint, We’ll also discuss imaging vs backups, I’ll want to demo the new Exton modified PI Pixel using Refracta tools and show you GalliumOS now dual-booting on my Acer Chromebook. And we’ll look at May’s Linux Links.
May Chrome SIG meets Thursday May 25 – 10 am. Hewie Poplock from APCUG is trying to start a regular Chromebook session using Zoom. I hope someone will want to get involved so we can try the stay-at-home format. View the May’s Chrome Links
