Please note October’s early time!
At the October Linux SIG I have a guest from Brandon who is having issues with Win10 Secure Boot. Hopefully something I learned last month on Averil’s laptop can be a quick solution. We’ll also look at these three newer slim 64bit Linux distros:
Apricity OS (Gnome)
We will look at a very nice rolling release based on Arch Linux using the latest Gnome3 desktop. It is different but I like it.
Elementary has a new release with their own desktop manager. and based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. This distro was designed for Linux newbies, especially those coming from Mac systems.
I heard good things about Solis but encountered big-time Grub problems on an actual install. We will look at Solis in Live Mode.
